3rd Annual Tar Beach Golf Invitational

The 3rd Annual Tar Beach Golf Invitational was held in Rochester, NY (Sept 23 - 25) this year. Despite grim predictions of 60 degree temps and rainy skies, the weathermen were predictably wrong and all the men stayed both dry and sweaty despite the late September weekend.

* This means that Karim Ouazzi and Jim Berry are the two remaining founding members who have yet to win the trophy. Please be assured that their team will be unfairly stacked next year.

There are 10 rooms that have been blocked off under the group name Tar Beach. Five of the rooms have two queen beds and five have one king bed. Please call to reserve your room to ensure you get the type of room and length of stay you desire.  Two weeks before the Invitational the rooms will be released to the public and the group discount will no longer apply.

Weekend Costs

This year a new pricing structure has been put into place that should make the weekend easier to plan for, budget for, and enjoy.  Most expenses (golf, Friday night BBQ, Saturday goodbye lunch, favors, etc.) have been rolled into one price. If you would like to know the specific breakdown of each pricing tier, please email Dave.

Original Tar Beach Members - $125
Tier 1 Golfers (all friends & family) - $90
Tier 2 Golfers (Tar Beach fathers & fathers-in-law) - $75
Non-Golfers - $10

Sunday lunch = $20 per person

Examples: 
Bryan & Sarah will pay a total of $175 ($125 + $10 + $20 + $20)
Matt & Megan will pay a total of $140 ($90 + $10 + $20 + $20)

Golf Course

5 teams, each with a founding member of Tar Beach, will be teeing off at Lake Shore Country Club on Saturday and Sunday at 10am sharp!

Lake Shore overlooks Lake Ontario and describes itself as having "spacious grounds and an informal atmosphere." In 2001 Rochester natives and PGA Tour Players Jeff Sluman, Dudley Hart, and Hart's father Chuck, purchased Lake Shore. In the years since, they have done extensive renovation to the course and club house, as well as purchase all new golf carts.
